American Hospital Association CEO Rich Umbdenstock joined with the top officials of two other medical associations Sept. 12 to warn that 776,000 health care jobs could be lost under looming Medicare cuts. Cindy Balkstra, first vice president, American Nurses Association, and Jeremy Lazarus, president of the American Medical Association, also spoke during the news conference at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.
